Vyrus 986 M2 Concept

The Vyrus 986 M2 was the most popular motorcycle of the Motor Bike Expo 2011, with many roaming around the stand enjoying the craftsmanship of Rodorigo Ascanio. Vyrus 986 is somewhat a futuristic interpretation of a motorcycle, used both on track and on the street. As announced, the new creation will have a triple soul: Factory,Replica SL and Replica Kit. The Factory is obviously the more specialized one that will be sold to various racing teams in Moto2 championship. Being a racing bike, the level of development was pushed to the max, achieving 136HP in 135kg package. A power to weight ratio that exceeds 1 is a great business card. Prices start from € 55,000.

If you like to ride on track, there is a replica kit made available. If you have spare Honda CBR600RR somewhere in the garage then you can use it, re-use brakes, engine, electrical system, and attache the controller on the dashboard, and you have yourself a real Moto2 spec’d track machine. Future kits will be able to receive Yamaha R6 engine as well. Replica Kit rounding out things at €16,900.

The road version is named Replica SL, wich will be available after the summer. There will be no major differences between race bikes and road version. Aesthetics will be retained  together with dynamics, and obviously there will be headlamps, license plate and mirrors added. Engine will be standard Honda CBR600RR unit (or slightly tuned) and the price for a whole lot – cool 25,000 €

Radical Ducati RAD-01 999

RAD-01 is a piece of motorcycle Art, period! It’s been and still is the pride of Spanish tuning studio – Radical Ducati. RAD-01 is continuing to stir emotions and inspire all Ducati fans, while Pepo and his team continually push the boundaries of possibly the best Ducati designs ever! It all started back in 2005 – when Ducati released it’s “radical” models 749 and 999. That’s when Radical Ducati decided to build this bizarre and beautiful solution – eliminating “questionable” front headlights – placing them on sides of the bike – creating one of the most beautiful bike forms in the world.
And it’s not only looks, that make RAD so fascinating. Its pure functionality that produces this beautiful lines. With a new front and eliminated subframe, this design helped in weight reduction, creating more benefits along the way. Although smaller looking, tank is now carrying 6L more, increasing overall autonomy of the bike. And just to mention that kit is relatively low in price, and leaves the possibility to the owner to further customize it. Things are just getting better and better.

Catalyst CB1000RFK Gregg’s Customs

This year Gregg’s Customs were given the opportunity to build the Cycle World Ride for Kids(r) project bike.  With only about a month of time to build – they were able to complete this beautiful Honda CB street fighter with the help of friends and business associates. Something that started as CBR1000RR, ended up as a modern version of the great CB750 Supersport. The custom bike will make the rounds of the International Motorcycle Show where tickets will be sold at $5 each for a drawing for the bike, which will be held on May 2, 2011.

Pegasus Racing 1190 Typhon

Although this looks like Buell motorcycle, it actually isn’t. As you know, Buell is no more – and the whole original brand is transformed into EBR (Eric Buell Racing). Now EBR is dedicated to continue Buell’s footsteps but for now, they only create racing motorcycles. Models like 1125R, 1125RR and 1190RR. Now, Pegasus Racing Team is the only non-American racing team that races EBR bikes, and win. They win a lot. So what do they do? ‘Cus they are so close with EBR – they get a go-ahead from Eric Buell himself to create a road bike / streetfighter based on 1190RR racing bike. And that’s how you get Typhon 1190 Streetfighter concept. Confused? Yes, we were as well.
”Our idea was with our years of experience in Buell racing to concept the ultimate Streetfighter with outstanding performance and a unique design,” said Team Manager Jens Krüper. ”To combinate a cool minimized look with real good aerodynamics is a real challenge, especially if something is so powerful as that EBR Superbike,” said Heiko Jessat of Gruner Engineering, the company that technically assisted PRT with the design for the Typhon.
Main inspiration is from the lines of the Buell XB, with some parts from the soon-to-be-released EBR 1190RS superbike. And oh-yes –  185hp!!!
This model is to represent things to come later down the road for EBR, and maybe a full street only model!

Pierobon F042 Street Naked

Pierobon is a well know Italian tuner who’s been around for the last 58 years, mainly developing frames and components for various racing competitions, including MotoGP! This Bologna-based company is developing complete bikes built around famous Ducati two cylinder engines, but strictly air-cooled and with only two valves per cylinder. The Pierobon F042 is a bike / celebrity in Supertwin League, Italian champion and American vice-champion. The bike you see in front of you is a street conversion of this famous machine, dubbed HStreet F042. Released back in 2008, this bike is stunning piece of machinery with it’s big red aluminum frame sticking out. Now for the numbers:140kg weight and 1390mm wheelbase, plus 23.5 degrees rake, makes this a small but crazy-fast package for track and twisty roads. Complete bike costs 19,900 Euro, with an option of buying separate kit for 7922 Euro + TUV registration of another 3680 Euro. A bit pricey – but well worth it.

Custom Harley Spacester VTM

Some people are having hard time to use today’s modern technology. They even have hard time with CAD drawing. But when it comes to shaping things with their hands and use their mind as sketch board, you can’t go better then Bernard Massart (Buck) – custom builder from France. Buck created SpaceSter without any help of computers, with rigid tubular frame, covered in sheet metal, all hand made! Oil tank is integrated into the frame, with an engine coming from Harley Davidson Sportster model – hence the name. The whole bike is so aerodynamic that it would be really interesting to test it in the wind tunnel.

Buck’s creation won “BEST OF SHOW” Free Wheels 2010, “BEST OF SHOW” Punta Bagna Bike Valfrejus 2010, and will represent France at the World Championship AMD “in Sturgis (USA) in 2011

Blitz Electric Harley Schulz

If you come to think of it, the majority of electric bikes that are currently hitting the market are based on the looks of sport bikes. Why is this the case, we don’t know (maybe due to lower air drag with sports bikes), but this is the first time that we see custom Harley-looking electric bike. We present to you “Blitz” by Domenick Schulz.

Designed to be released in 2020, it has a tag line “Shock and Awe”. For now there is no info on bikes specification, but we support the different way of thinking when it comes to electric bike appearance.

Radical Ducati Pursang 02

As you may have noticed, we pay a lot of attention to Spanish tuning shop – Radical Ducati. And the reason is simple – they are producing, by far, the most exotic and exciting radical Ducati’s in the World. Each of their creations is firstly build for speed and performance. But the aesthetic side that they achieve with this approach is just breathtaking. Meet the “Pursang” or “Thoroughbred”. Light mixture of super moto / street fighter / cafe racer, boosting Multistrada 1100 engine, Monster S2R single sided swingarm, Ohlins suspension and all the top of the range goodies that you can find on the market. Truly Epic bike! Bravo Radical Ducati! Full Gallery after the jump. Photos: Javier Fuentes
