The Vyrus 986 M2 was the most popular motorcycle of the Motor Bike Expo 2011, with many roaming around the stand enjoying the craftsmanship of Rodorigo Ascanio. Vyrus 986 is somewhat a futuristic interpretation of a motorcycle, used both on track and on the street. As announced, the new creation will have a triple soul: Factory,Replica SL and Replica Kit. The Factory is obviously the more specialized one that will be sold to various racing teams in Moto2 championship. Being a racing bike, the level of development was pushed to the max, achieving 136HP in 135kg package. A power to weight ratio that exceeds 1 is a great business card. Prices start from € 55,000.
If you like to ride on track, there is a replica kit made available. If you have spare Honda CBR600RR somewhere in the garage then you can use it, re-use brakes, engine, electrical system, and attache the controller on the dashboard, and you have yourself a real Moto2 spec’d track machine. Future kits will be able to receive Yamaha R6 engine as well. Replica Kit rounding out things at €16,900.
The road version is named Replica SL, wich will be available after the summer. There will be no major differences between race bikes and road version. Aesthetics will be retained together with dynamics, and obviously there will be headlamps, license plate and mirrors added. Engine will be standard Honda CBR600RR unit (or slightly tuned) and the price for a whole lot – cool 25,000 €
