Akrapovič Morsus Custom Bike

Akrapovič, Slovenian manufacturer of exhaust systems, is well known for its innovative products, especially those for bikes, and we have seen quite a few carbon and titanium beauties adorning numerous bikes around the world, including World Superbike and MotoGP paddocks. Not one to rest on its laurels, the company is now getting into the custom chopper scene, no doubt to promote its recent launch of cruiser-styled exhausts. And this radical bike, dubbed the Morsus, is the one billed to lead the charge. Built in partnership with Dreamachine Motorcycles, the Morsus boasts a massive 1,852cc mill that belts out a healthy 114 hp through its modified Akrapovič exhaust pipe.
The design looks like nothing else on the planet and fittingly, the underslung side-venting pipe complements the lines to a T. It’s a bit too futuristic, the Morsus probably represents what cruisers might seem like in AD 3000, but we definitely like the mirrors, belt covers and disc-style wheels, which by the way, are crafted out of real carbon fibre.
Well, as catchy and delicious as the whole concept is, it remains to be seen whether the Harley-riding bunch will take to Akrapovič’s new line-up as readily as superbike riders. Here’s wishing them luck!
